These days, anti-valentine day celebrations are gaining a
lot of popularity. Loads of people across the world are averse to celebrating
valentine day. With time, such an antagonism has turned into a movement.
Obviously, the antipathy or the apathy varies in terms of
geographical locations where people are seen protesting passively, wearing
anti-valentine signs to display their vehemence for the day. On the other hand,
some antagonists are seen holding demonstrations and processions by carrying
posters of their gospels, which ridicule the practice. In the recent years,
such a wave against the cupid has gained a significant magnitude.
This wave against the Cupid has assumed considerable
magnitude in recent times. A few groups choose to listen to rebellious music or
watch movies, which are devoid of the concept of love. Scores of people are
known to gather and protest together. It is believed that people protesting
against Valentine’s Day have had some bitter experiences in the past. While
some protest because of their own reasons, there are some who protest in the
name of religion or faith.
Retailers, across the world, are seen taking advantage of
the Valentine’s Day and introduce sizable amounts of promotions to lure the
consumers. This has also led to the amount of protests amongst the masses. Just
as the valentine day celebrations are becoming popular, the anti valentine day
protests are also becoming popular. There are very few who believe in real love
and they are often seen ridiculing the idea of unrealistic, commercialized and
media generated exercise to celebrate this day of love.
